Our pricing is completely transparent and purposefully simple.  We charge $450 per hour for photography production on the day of your wedding. From May 1 to October 31 there is a 6 hour minimum. A secondary photographer, if desired, is $200 per hour. There is no charge for consultations and no charge for editing and post production of images. Fifty percent of payment is due with signed contract, the remaining balance is not due until the week of your wedding.

Engagement Session are now completely free when you book 8 or more hours of coverage…because we want to encourage us working together even before your wedding date. The better we know each other, the better your photos, and what better way to build chemistry than by doing a fun photo shoot before you get married? Maybe we can even grab a beer afterwards? (A la carte Engagement Sessions – if we are not shooting your wedding – are $750. If you book us for less than 8 hours, the Engagement Sessions are $500).

Beginning in January 2024 we will now host all galleries on a new and improved platform called Smugmug. Shortly after your wedding, usually within 7 to 10 days, you will receive a link to view your images. Copyrights of all images are included in every package. 

Why are copyrights so important? With shared copyrights you can reprint your images with no restrictions. You may always order prints directly from us , but with copyrights you may use downloaded digital images to order prints elsewhere (ie:Shutterfly). Copyrights allow you to share full-resolution, non-watermarked photos with family and friends via social media, email, prints, and any other method you like. Also, while we do offer very high quality customized albums, you are free to create your album or book using alternate resources. You may not sell images for profit or use on another vendor’s website without permission from Mike Buscher Photography. 

The album process does not have to be so complicated. In an effort to streamline pricing and keep things simple – we no longer charge an up-front fee for albums and there are no albums included with any package. However, we still offer amazing albums – at a very reduced rate – via your Smugmug gallery. These are DIY options and you can choose from virtually any size and material you like. You choose the photos on your own schedule, you design your book using the super-simple interface, and you place your order – all on your own timeline. Pricing starts at just a few hundred dollars depending on size and number of photos included. We are more than happy to assist you with your album should any questions arise at any time throughout the process. 

To check availability, please contact us with your wedding date/location and any other details that you wish to share. While our main coverage areas include all of Maryland, DC, Northern VA, Northwest Arkansas region, Tampa/Miami, Florida, Anchorage, Alaska, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina, we do work anywhere in the USA and worldwide. For most locations there are no travel fees – or very minimal fees.
